How much?
I am sure that one of the things that you might be asking yourself even before you contact me is “How much is all this going to cost me?”
To start, let me emphasise that I am an independent consultant and work just for myself, so my overheads are low. All the resources I use, such as for design and web set up, are again independent and I only pay for what I use. I do have a small office that I share with a catering company; I have tried working from home in the past and didn't really enjoy it that much.
I have worked with over 80 individual clients over the last few years and I continue to work with some of them as the marketing part of their team.
For some clients I have carried out one-off projects, which might be limited to an Evaluation and Marketing Plan plus 3 months telephone mentoring. Others have committed to this comprehensive Ultimate Mentoring Plan, which includes 12 months mentoring and website outsourcing:
- Half day on-site fact finding (could involve overnight stay)
- Research to establish pricing and occupancy expectations
- Written Evaluation and Marketing Plan, giving you a blueprint for the future
- Monthly on-site mentoring meetings for 12 months
- New or revised logo designs
- New bespoke website including design of your choice and text writing
- Hosting, SEO and amendments to website
- Google Places set up and monitoring
- Writing and distribution of Email newsletter
- Setting up, writing and supervising Google advertising
- Help with 3rd party distribution, online booking and reputation management
This Ultimate Mentoring Plan costs £600∗ a month for 12 months.
Most projects cost considerably less so the answer to the ‘How much’ question that we started with is that whatever I do costs from £600∗ down to around £125∗ per month for 12 months (although not all plans are payable monthly). However before I can give you an accurate proposal we need to meet and agree your requirements exactly.
Complimentary exploratory meeting
If you have got this far then I imagine that you are seriously interested in developing your rooms business, whether you are an independent hotel or a pub with rooms.
I am quite happy to discuss your issues over the phone or better still come and see you for a short face-to-face meeting. I understand that chemistry is important so I appreciate that if you are thinking about working with a mentor you need to know that we are going to get on.
As you can see I operate from Oxford, but I have clients all over the UK. If you are a long way away we can always arrange to meet somewhere in between for this initial discussion.
